Deep Body Delete

Delete a Body and every feature that grew out of it, Boolean children, geometrical sets, sketches, in one confirmed action, with nothing left behind.

Delete a Body the normal way and it explodes into its children, leaving every Boolean-linked body, geometrical set, and sketch that fed into it scattered in the tree, orphaned, unlabeled, and yours to clean up by hand. Deep Body Delete removes the whole branch at once, so a deleted Body actually disappears, roots and all.

What it does

  • Removes the full feature branch, deletes the selected Body together with every Boolean child body, geometrical set, and sketch beneath it, not just the top-level node.
  • Leaves no orphans behind, nothing gets exploded out and abandoned in the tree the way a standard delete does.
  • Confirms before acting, a quick yes/no check on the exact Body you’re about to remove, so deletion stays deliberate.
  • Understands the main body correctly, clearing out a Part’s primary body prunes its dependent children without ever leaving the Part without one.

How It Works

Select the Body you want to remove and launch the command. The tool automatically identifies all dependent features, including Boolean Bodies, Geometrical Sets, and Sketches, and prompts for confirmation. Once approved, the entire structure is removed in a single operation.

Where it fits

Included from the Starter plan up, so it’s available on every tier without exception. It suits anyone who regularly prunes exploratory or superseded geometry from a Part and would rather trust a single confirmed action than track down every downstream feature a Body left behind.
