Select All Instances
Select one component in an assembly and instantly select every other instance of the same part, across the whole structure.
Every assembly has that one bolt, bracket, or bushing used a dozen times over, and picking each instance by hand, one click at a time, gets old fast. Select All Instances skips the repetition: select a single instance, and every other occurrence of that same part gets selected right along with it.
What it does
- Finds every match instantly, select one component and all other instances of the same part are added to the selection immediately.
- Works from what’s already selected, if you’ve already picked one or more components, it uses that selection as the search criteria with no extra step.
- Handles multiple parts at once, select a mix of different components first, and it matches each one independently, all in a single pass.
How It Works
Select one or more components within the assembly and launch the command. The tool automatically identifies the Part referenced by each selected instance and searches the product structure for all matching occurrences. Every matching instance is added to the current selection in a single operation.
Where it fits
Included from the Starter plan up, so it’s available no matter which tier you’re on. It’s built for anyone working in large, repetitive assemblies who needs to act on a whole group of identical components, updating properties, checking a batch, or applying a change, without hunting through the tree one instance at a time.
